Hollyweird

Yesterday was so super fun! I went to Hollywood to browse around and see some sights I need to see before I leave. The first stop was USC. The family that I babysit for love USC, so... I like USC too :)

If I had a brain (think scarecrow from Wizard of Oz), I may want to spend my time in the engineering department.

My chauffeur got us in to the campus by saying I needed to see the campus because I'm wanting to attend law school. LOL. Sad part is, I almost wanted to be a lawyer... I could werk a skirt suit! (And also, instead of having an office that was the typical deep cherry-looking wood, I'd have a modern office with blue glass.) Word.

In other news, after checking out USC, it was off to coocoo town A.K.A. Hollywood!

I like Twilight.
Bite me.

So I sort of flipped out when I saw Jane Fonda's hand and feet prints because I watched "Barefoot in the Park" earlier that morning! The movie also inspired my hair-do for the day.

Hehe ;)

This photo is for mommy who is Elton John's number one fan!

This is Hugh Jackman's star.. but you pronounce it like "Hugh Jaek-mun"

Followed by house hunting... for my Tudor home.

I found one! It was in Holmby Hills. Not sure what on earth I would have to do to acquire enough Benjamin's to buy it from the current owners as it doesn't appear to be for sale...

This house is kinda cute though, right?

We passed the gate to the Playboy Mansion too! Wooooop!

Sorry, Dad. Holly Madison wasn't there.

I decided that I wanted to scope out Venice Beach again since I haven't been in a few years. Really, I was quite uncomfortable when I went the first time, and nothing changed! I had my growl on so none of the scary cats felt tempted to strike up an unnecessary conversation!

Nuh-no paparazzi... Wrong! Take another one!

Okay, okay. We'll work with that.

I had a great day and I am so happy I got to see the sights again before I head out! Two weeks left!!!

What I Love...

I've been thinking for a while of doing a blog post that lists things I dig! So, here we go!

1. "My family of 5". (I also dearly love those relatives who do not live inside of my house. Y'all are the bomb, too.)
2. Baking. (I really enjoy making sweet treats! Especially for special occasions when I get to whip out my Mimi's Martha Stewart Cake Decorating Kit! I kind of prefer "cooking" though... it doesn't require measuring utensils. Oh, and cook books are so cool. I like them.)

3. Taking pictures.
4. Reading. (Eat. Pray. Love.)
5. Disney World.
6. Traveling.
7. Foreign Countries. (... and I may also whole-heartedly love foreign boys. I'll go ahead and attribute that to my mother who fancied two foreign exchange students before she met my awesome little Cajun dad.)
8. Languages.
9. Architecture. (I adore Tudor style homes and will build or buy a Tudor style castle wherever I call home as a big girl.)
10. Cars. (One day I'd like to personally restore an old Mustang with my two hands.)
11. Music & Concerts.
12. Da beach.
13. Putting on makeup and doing my hair.
14. Watching movies.
15. A cup of hot coffee with a fancy flavored coffee creamer.
16. Starbucks instagram photos in the winter.
17. Holidays.

18. Waking up on a leisurely Saturday and watching QVC. (I don't even care that I'm a grandma)
19. Disney Movies. (Tangled & Frozen...holla.)
20. Church.
21. A clean room. (Do I ever clean mine? No.)
22. Sunshine.
23. Lifting weights.(There's a reason cardio and crying both start with a 'c' and it's because they're synonymous with each other.)
24. New tech gadgets.
25. Making YouTube videos.
26. Cute outfits found on Pinterest.
27. Learning. (I definitely dislike school, so I'm referring to the ride at Disney that takes you through hydroponic gardens where they teach you how to garden without soil. I like learning like that!)
28.Waking up on Sunday and watching HGTV. (One day I'll also renovate an old home...with my bare hands.)
29. Pretty colors.
30. Reassurance.
31. Surfing & Snow Boarding (or attempting.)

32. Candles.
33. Hugs. (Good hugs.. the kind with a little back rub action incorporated in it)
34. Babies!
35. Surprises. (I love surprising people as well)
36. Making new friends. (The actual act of meeting people terrifies me, but once I've gotten a friend out of the deal, all is well).
37. Being festive.
38. Nature. (Pretty scenery!)
39. Flowers. (Not in the "my boyfriend must surprise me with flowers" way- I'd rather be surprised with a medium cooked steak- but I do think fresh tulips are lovely.)

40. Going to the park.
41. Seasons. (Mainly summer, but I also enjoy a little wintertime... I find the chill mysterious. Fall is nice too. Spring... Okay, all seasons win.)
42. Pretty painted fingers and toes.
43. Sleeping.
44. Laughing.
45. Dancing with my gal pals. (Watch out... I am Miss Dancy Pants.)
46. Using fun words. (I think words like brilliant, stupendous, and lovely are all sooo fun! Like, kick "cool" to the curb.)
47. Chillaxing.
48. Making Plans. (Although being "spontaneous" is fun, and I am down for spur of the moment activities, my control freak self does enjoy making plans in my mental calendar)
49. Writing.
50. Gum.

Besides pondering things that provide myself immense happiness, I also find it interesting to learn what other people enjoy, and take part in those activities with them. What kinds of things tickle your fancy?

Love what you do and do what you love."

Welcome to CA!

You guys!

You guuuuuuuyyyssss!

SOMEONE FROM LOUISIANA CAME TO VISIT ME!

Everyone meet Lexi. Hi Lexi!

I picked Lexi up from the airport, we got home, put on our fancy pants clothes, and as always,  managed to capture a few pictures short of a photoshoot...

then we went to Riptide Rockin' Sushi which is such a fun place! It wasn't really bumpin' since it was a Monday night, but I was sure to serenade the girls when "Trying Not to Love You" by Nickelback came on :)

We sat at the sushi bar!

I ordered the burrito roll,

Lexi ordered something that no one can recall,

and Mary ordered the Screamin' O, per my suggestion. She liked it! Yay!

And we also had edamame!

It was a good night!

Fun on the Fourth

Happy 4th of July, dudes!

Let freedom ring... for reals!

Don't judge me, but this morning I was scrolling through Instagram, and my love, Dan Smith from Bastille posted a photo. I was immensely confused when the one photo he posted today had nothing to do with the 4th of July,

until my brain started working... and then I was like... OH. Only America celebrates this holiday. In my defense, I did say I saw this picture THIS MORNING. Which means my brain wasn't on. Did I tell you about that one time I woke up one morning and went straight to the kitchen to fix myself some oatmeal, and I grabbed the bowl from the cabinet and just dropped it on the ground causing it to shatter and then I stared at it? See, me and my brain have issues at morning time.

In other news.

I headed to Jeff's apartment because their super awesome pool was having a partay with a DJ and food. My favorites. But first, I had to be festive. I love being festive. I even feel like I should drink pumpkin spice lattes in the fall despite the fact that I don't even like them. I just have to match the occasion.

I decided to get a hot dog because I'm a man and I wanted a hotdog. Here's me and my hotdog. I named him "Yumlet". Everyone tell him hello, he's embarrassed now.

Then... I eated him.

And then they announced that there was a cookie truck in the parking lot.

Pardon me.

Ahem.

AND THEN THEY ANNOUNCED THAT THERE WAS A COOKIE TRUCK IN THE PARKING LOT.

Remi rolled right over. It just so happens that the oblivious customers in front of me had no idea what life they were in, so it gave me time to strategize. I ended up deciding I wanted a snickerdoodle, because quite frankly I think cinnamon and sugar are beautiful (I will refer to my husband and I as cinnamon and sugar because I believe that is the best combination out there... other than steak and loaded baked potatoes). And of course I had to test out their straight up chocolate chip, and then my heart melted when I heard the chewy chocolate fudge cookie was similar to a brownie. Yes please.

Also, the man working the "Drive Me Cookie" truck was absolutely breath-taking, and he asked me where I was from. I didn't even mind that he asked me this time because he was so cute! And he owns a cookie truck. Brownie points for you, sir (lol)! Do you not trust that I ate my cookies? Here's proof :)

Jeff always picks on me because I never get in the water, but can you find me? I'm in the water. I actually swam in the pool today and it was seriously so fun. I felt 7 years old being like, "MOMMY WATCH ME SWIM ACROSS THE POOL." You have to read that in the Tiffany man voice. Tiffany is the coolest chick and she taught me how to do the most gnarly Kermit-esque man voice.

I also hula hooped.

Then I ended the night at Kevin's watching the sunset and fireworks!
